Our sustainability commitment

Riccione is committed to environmental protection and sustainable development, utilizing rubber wood as the primary material for furniture manufacturing. Rubber wood, which matures in just 20–30 years from planting to harvesting, imposes minimal environmental burden.

Designed for today. Responsible for tomorrow.

At Riccione, sustainability is not a feature — it is our foundation. We believe furniture should be crafted with care for both the home and the planet, balancing timeless design with responsible production.

Responsibly sourced materials

We primarily use Malaysian rubberwood — a fast-renewing timber harvested after its latex-producing cycle (20–30 years). By repurposing plantation wood that would otherwise be discarded, we reduce environmental impact while giving new life to natural resources.

All timber is sourced from responsibly managed forests with certified traceability, including MTC and FSC standards, ensuring transparency from origin to final product.

Low-emission & safer living

Our products comply with E0 environmental standards for low formaldehyde emissions and are tested by recognized international bodies. We prioritize safe finishes and coatings to create healthier indoor environments for families.

Built to last, designed to endure

Sustainability begins with longevity. Since the 1980s, Malaysia has been globally recognized for rubberwood craftsmanship. At Riccione, we continue this heritage by designing solid wood furniture that is durable, repairable, and made to move with modern lifestyles — reducing the need for frequent replacement.

Waste reduction & circular thinking

We embrace circular design principles across our operations — optimizing material usage, minimizing production waste, improving packaging efficiency, and encouraging long product life cycles. Every stage, from design to distribution, is guided by responsible resource management.

Crafting a better future

For us, sustainability means continuous improvement — refining materials, strengthening certifications, and adopting smarter processes to reduce our footprint while delivering timeless, nature-inspired design.
