Rubberwood with ash veneer is beautiful and practical — but it does need the right care, especially because veneer is a thin layer of real ash wood on top of engineered or solid rubberwood.

Here’s a simple care guide:

1. Daily Cleaning

• Wipe with a soft, dry microfiber cloth
• For dirt, use a slightly damp cloth, then wipe dry immediately
• Avoid soaking the surface — veneer does not like excess water

• Harsh chemical cleaners
• Alcohol-based sprays
• Abrasive sponges
  

2. Protect from Moisture

Veneer is thin, and water can seep into edges.

• Wipe spills immediately
• Always use coasters and placemats
• Avoid placing directly next to sinks or humid areas
  

3. Avoid Heat & Direct Sunlight

• Use heat pads for hot pots or cups
• Prolonged sunlight may cause fading or slight color change
• Keep away from strong UV exposure when possible
  

4. Prevent Scratches

• Use felt pads under decor and tableware
• Do not drag heavy objects across the surface
• Avoid sharp objects directly on veneer
  

5. Long-Term Maintenance

• Polish occasionally with a wood-safe, non-silicone polish
• Do not sand — veneer is thin and cannot be refinished deeply
• For damage, professional repair is recommended
